1. Eligible for specialist registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. (500 words max)

2. Formal Post-graduate training in General Practice. (500 words max.)

3. Broad based experience in primary health care appropriate to working in a rural/remote location. (500 words max.)

4. Demonstrate an ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team, including the ability to share tasks and knowledge and delegate to other health practitioners. (500 words max.)

5. An understanding and commitment to the principles of Aboriginal community control of primary health care delivery. (500 words max.)

6. A respect for Aboriginal culture and a willingness to listen, learn and to participate in cross-cultural awareness activities. (500 words max.)

7. A high standard of written and oral presentation; particularly the ability to communicate clearly in plain English to both clients and other health professionals. (500 words max.)

8. Demonstrated self-care and stress management skills appropriate to living and working in an isolated area. (500 words max.)

9. Ability to support and participate in change processes. (500 words max.)
